Whitney – Queen of the Night

Celebrating the life of one of the greatest artists of our time, Whitey – Queen of the Night delivers stunning performances by West End star Rebecca Freckleton as Whitney Houston.

The once-in-a-lifetime show takes audiences through three decades of Houston’s hits, including “I’m Every Woman,” “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” “My Love is Your Love,” “One Moment in Time,” “Run to You,” “So Emotional Baby,” “I Will Always Love You,” “Saving All My Love,” and more.

Queen of the Night’s cast and creatives include Shanice Smith and Seonaid Bowers as principal vocalists, Mike Pagett as musical director, James Hannah on the piano, Derek Baxter on bass, Dave Swann on lead guitar and Kit Mlynar on saxophone. Nick Taggart is executive producer, and Paul Roberts is both director and producer of the show.

The production will make stops in Cardiff, Dunstable, Tewkesbury, Kent, Somerset, Manchester and more. Shows are planned through April, 2018, so fans have the opportunity to catch this unforgettable tribute to the great Whitney Houston.

Considered one of the top female vocalists on the scene today, Rebecca Freckleton delivers a powerhouse performance as Whitney Houston. Before taking on the role of this late iconic star, Freckleton was a leading lady in The Magic of Motown, a touring musical. She has also toured, performed and recorded with The Noisettes, Kindness, Macy Gray, Paloma Faith and Dionne Bromfield, among many others.

Shanice Smith joins Freckleton on stage to perform “When You Believe,” lending her spine-tingling vocals in a duet that leaves audiences speechless.

Whitney – Queen of the Night pays tribute to one of the most unforgettable female voices in musical history. From the late 70s through her tragic death in 2012, Whitney Houston sold a staggering 200 million records across the world. In 2009, she went into the Guiness Book of World Records as the most awarded musical act in history.

Houston released seven studio albums and two soundtracks throughout her nearly three-decade career. All of her records have gone diamond, platinum, multi-platinum or gold. She is the only artist to have ever charted seven consecutive number one hits on the Billboard Hot 100. Her debut album became the best-selling debut album by a female singer in history.

Houston’s second album became the first album by a female to debut at the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart.
Along with her exceptional musical career, Houston appeared in high-profile films, including The Bodyguard, Waiting to Exhale and The Preacher’s Wife.
