He went on to be on So You Think You’re Funny, where he made it to one of the final acts. He then went on the be named the best newcomer on BBC Radio Merseyside. His career continued to grow with appearances on the Michael McIntrye Comedy Roadshow, where he was the first act.
He would win the Best Male Comedy Breakthrough Artist at the British Comedy Awards in 2010.

He has been in three films with the most recent being Funny Cow, where he played the role of Colin Pile.
“Winging It” is sure to impress viewers. Bishop’s first tour, “Elvis Has Left the Building,” was dubbed “comedic genius” by many critics, and his acts have continued to get better over the years.
When he announced his tour, he stressed that it’s been three years since his last tour, and that he was looking forward to being on the road. Bishop has stated in the past that standup is what he likes to do best, despite being on television often.
Bishop entered comedy late in life. He states that sometimes he feels that he is “winging it.” The phrase is the perfect choice for his 35-date+ tour.
